This website is part of a research project funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research that was originally designed to provide information about the symptom of painful sex. We have since expanded the site to include more general information about pelvic pain & endometriosis and with additional funding will continue to expand the site in the future.
Videos on the site were funded by the UBC Public Scholar’s Initiative.
Accompanying social media campaigns were funded by Michael Smith Health Research BC.
Our funders include governmental, charitable or non-profit organisations who have no influence over the content displayed on the site and receive no monetary benefit.
Collaborators include; gynaecologists, allied health professionals and patient partners at the University of British Columbia Endometriosis Pelvic Pain Laboratory located at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada as well as endometriosis.org and the Endometriosis Network Canada.
Researchers and trainees are with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia. Salary funding is received from non-profit or governmental grants.
